Why Wild Clay?
Clay tells a story of the past, invites us into the present, and brings gifts into the future. Humans have been playing with clay since the dawn of time, literally and figuratively our ancestors are in Earth’s clay rich soil. Originally pottery was created using simple tools and local materials but over the years it has shifted into a complex, expensive and heavily mechanized process. This workshop offers us a way to re-connect with our humanity through nature by honoring the ancient and elemental art of pottery.
“Literally and figuratively our ancestors of all forms are in Earth’s clay rich soil. The opportunity to work with this energy brings me great joy and satisfaction.”
