About the Author:
Melissa “Mesa” Matarese is a working visual artist driven by her wild imagination and love of nature. Holding a BFA in Communication Design from Kutztown University she continues to refine her craft as an artist on a daily basis. She is a pillar of the community in regards to creativity, yoga and sustainability. She has been an educator at Delaware Valley University and Bucks County Community College. She led numerous sustainable education projects such as the Minimus Tiny House Build at Delaware Valley University and The CommUNITY Peace Garden at The TileWorks. Her debut children's book FERAL WARRIOR & THE GOLDEN STICKS emerged as a stream of consciousness amidst her darkest night and is a representation of how she desires to live her own life. Since that fateful night she has been passionately refining the narrative and crafting the illustrations and is ready to share this message of peace with a world that needs it now more than ever.
