Course Description:

Green Home is a guide for transitioning our homes to a more sustainable living environment. In this course we will move room by room, learning how to reduce toxins in our homes and bodies through product choice and habit change. We will also learn how to lessen and more responsibly manage our household waste.

MODULE 1: A Kinder Kitchen

The kitchen is the heart of our home; it is where we feed and nourish our bodies and families. BUT, it is the heaviest hitter in terms of waste we create. In this module we will learn kinder choices and healthier habits when it comes to food, packaging and products in the kitchen.

MODULE 2: Room by Room

In this module we will move room by room, learning how to reduce toxins from our direct environment through conscious consumerism and mindful habit change.

MODULE 3: A Better Bedroom

In this module we will get deeper insight into Earth-friendly textiles, garments and fabrics. We will explore the concept of fashion vs. style and how to find a style that makes us personally and collectively feel better.

MODULE 4: Responsible Waste Management

In this module we will gain a new perspective on “waste” enabling us to see many things that we have been throwing out as opportunities for creativity, energy and financial savings. We will learn how to reduce our waste and more responsibly manage the waste we do create.
