Yoga Minis | Breath Control for Reducing Anxiety

Welcome back to Minimus Tiny House for this week’s Yoga Mini. Today we will be practicing yet another Pranayama (breath control) technique. This one is called the 4-7-8 Breath and I find it to be extremely beneficial for:

  • reducing anxiety

  • helping a person get to sleep

  • managing cravings

  • controlling or reducing anger responses

I personally use it as a “de-escalating breath”. In those moments when I feel like my mind is running and impatience is getting the best of me or my bullish temper is about to burst, this is my go to breath. It is simple, easy and it can be done anywhere. Please take a moment out of your day to practice with me now and to use this technique often.
